JavaScript in the Cloud
JavaScript has become one of the most important programming languages of the 21st century, and it is now moving fast to the Cloud.
Red Hat will be demonstrating how to deploy a JavaScript application on the cloud with the back-end framework of your choice, without having to redesign your app to get it to work for a specific cloud provider.
VMware will demonstrate the ease of deploying apps that consume services in the cloud, and moving your application between different clouds with server-side JavaScript.
End-to-end JavaScript with Open Source Project Wakanda
JavaScript is the most widely used programming language, with many successful open source projects, and now its first open source end-to-end solution.
Wakanda is a new open source JavaScript project and the first end-to-end development platform for JavaScript. It’s a fully integrated solution that includes an IDE, a client framework, a datastore and a server, all programmable in JavaScript. The development platform is also fully open and allows developers to integrate with other technologies and databases.
“JavaScript is a community driven language with many very successful open source projects,” said Alexandre Morgaut, JavaScript Evangelist for Wakanda. “I am excited to introduce Wakanda along side of well known JavaScript projects such as jQuery, MongoDB, and Node.js.”
The agenda for the JavaScript Everywhere Conference is now available at [http://wakanday.org/schedule/. The conference is being held October 15, 2011 at the Omni Parker House Hotel, Boston, MA. To register for the event, go to: http://www.wakanday.org/register.
