Quinnipiac to launch School of Engineering Source: Linda Conner Lambeck
Hamden — Quinnipiac University is adding a ninth school, a School of Engineering, in the fall.
The undergraduate degree program will offer bachelor degree programs in civil, industrial, mechanical and software engineering. There will also be a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Justin W. Kile of Cheshire will be the founding dean of the school.
For the last four years, engineering courses have been offered at Quinnipiac by the School of Business and Engineering. During that time, the university spent $9 million to build engineering laboratories.
Kile will lead the School of Engineering as it seeks approval through the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, a yearlong process.
