Google now offers bitcoin rate conversions

Here's welcome news for people using Bitcoins: Google has joined Microsoft's Bing in offering rate conversions for the online currency.
Users can convert between any currency and BTC just by typing “price of bitcoin” or “X bitcoin to euro,” tech site TechCrunch reported.
"The ability to use BTC in queries follows Google Finance’s addition of a special bitcoin page on the site last June," TechCrunch said.
Quoting Bitcoin news site Coindesk, it said Google's latest feature is a result of its partnership with Coinbase.
"It’s one small step for Google, one giant leap for the obsessives who track every single apparent change in bitcoin adoption," it said.
For its part, 9to5google.com said Google will display the conversion in an in-line box, while its conversion tool also shows the historical value of Bitcoins.
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer currency that can be sent from a smartphone, tablet or computer. It is open-source and claims state-of-the-art encryption.
