iPhone 6 queues have already begun for a product that doesn?

IT hasn’t even been officially announced yet, but that hasn’t stopped eager beavers lining up outside Apple’s New York store in anticipation of the iPhone 6.

The first two people in line were actually just minding spots for others and were paid $2500 to do so. The couple have been doing this for five years in a row, according to CNBC, and have made $7000 just by waiting in cues for Apple launches.

Making money in cues is a serious business, with professional cue waiting services like Same Ole Line Dudes reporting that they have already received seven orders for the iPhone 6s launch. It’s happening in Australia too, with listings already appearing onAirtasker for people to line up in Sydney for the iPhone 6.

Folks in the US pay big bucks to be one of the “first” new iPhone owners, which is funny when you consider that the US market is actually one of the last places you can buy a new iPhone.

Apple is expected to announce the next generation iPhone, as well as the rumoured iWatch on September 9. The devices themselves will most likely then be available to purchase a week or two later.
