Will Yahoo! Inc. Win Search Engine Rights For Apple Products Source: Viki Mickel
Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) would be fighting it out with stalwarts like Microsofts’ BING to become the default search engines on all Safari browsers.    The search engine business is a huge money spinner for companies like Yahoo and Microsoft and the current opportunity stems from the fact that the license for Google to be the default search engine for the Safari browsers would come to an end next year which provides the company the opportunity to jostle for the coveted spot as it would also provide the company access to the millions of users using Safari either on their Ipads, Iphones or their Macs. This would allow the company to provide customizable features to the user populace and allow the company to make some kind of a come-back in the highly competitive search engine market.
Many analysts believe that since Apple has been moving away from its dependence on most core Google Apps it wouldn’t be surprising if it provides the license to any of Google competitors which is being seen as huge positive for Yahoo going forward. Analysts believe if the company is able to win the licence it would be able to gain access to all forms of platform that Apple caters to.
