Facebook Brings Artificial Intelligence to Messenger
Source: Giovanni Bruno

Messenger, Facebook's (FB) messaging app, will start using artificial intelligence to provide suggestions to users based on their conversations, Recode reports.

The feature, called "M," can do things like request an Uber, and assist users in exchanging money between each other.

M is still in its beta and chiefly powered by humans at this time. However, Facebook says it is self-sufficient and can detect language well enough to automatically make useful recommendations that are meant to enhance your messaging experience.

"The system learns from the things you like to do and you don't like to do," Facebook's head of messaging products David Marcus told    Recode. "If you don't use the things that are being suggested for a specific use case, gradually those things will go away."
