Apple's iPhone 5 seen landing in October

The rumored launch of Apple Inc.bizWatch 's next generation iPhone 5 reportedly will happen in October rather than in September as was widely rumored.
All Things Digital cited unnamed "sources with knowledge of the situation" who called "misinformed" reports that AT&T was blacking out employee vacations in the last two weeks of next month in preparation for a September launch.
The launch of the iPhone 5 may not happen until late in October, either, the blog's sources said.
The expected launch marks the first time that a new iPhone has been introduced so late in the year, prompting more speculation than usual about what that means.
Some have said that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will simply introduce a modest upgrade from the iPhone 4 that debuted on AT&TbizWatch in the U.S. in the summer of 2010 and was introduced on Verizon earlier this year.
Others have said there will be two new iPhones, one aimed at less affluent customers and a second that will be a full upgrade.
Among the features expected on the full upgrade are a switch to the faster A5 processor now used on the iPad 2 and a higher-resolution camera.
