The android ecosystem is not competitive
Source: Verge

people say oh the android ecosystem is great, however, the competition is definentely better.

wp7 and iphone both have much better native music applications. Android has nothing to compete with wp7's zune hub and iphone ipod app. (android finally announced a music store a year after zune marketplace and 4 years after itunes on iphone. pathetic. lets see it ship though, probably another year)

iphone and wp7 both have a gaming advantage over android. WP7 has xbox live fully integrated at the OS level. iphone has game center. android has literally nothing here.

Social network integration is something very important. 800 mill members on facebook, 250 mill on twitter. Facebook is fully integrated at the OS level in wp7 ( i can see my newsfeed with a tap in 0.4 seconds. How long does it take u to find and open facebook for you?). iphone has twitter built in. google removed any trace of facebook integration in 2.3.3 becuase of conflicting interests with google+. Is this really what 800 million consumers want?

iphone and wp7 both have productivity software built in in Microsoft Office Hub (with SkyDrive integration) and iWorks Suite (with iCloud integration). Both are top of the line and great experiences. Google docs (with no integration, it is not a native android application either) on the other hand, when u press it, you just have a bad experiece in terms of interface and actually producing something, especially with androids keyboard poor response rate.

iphone and wp7 both have great interfaces in their native environments as well as third party apps, all properly adhering to straightforward guidelines. Android, on the other hand, has a mess, and is the opposite of consistency. even with ICS, jumping from that new tron interface to an old android app will be a jarring experience that noone on an iphone and wp7 will ever see since apps on iphone/wp7 are very consistent in design. In terms of homescreens, android is a grid of icons like windows 95. very boring. very primitive. no thought whatsoever into the future.

im bring this ecosystem topic up, because i believe the android ecosystem is overrated. verge gave gs2 ecosystem a 8/10 rating. this is nearly perfect, and i think android iecosystem is very far from being nearly perfect.
