What Do You Want to Know About Windows 8
Source: Chloe Albanesius

Microsoft's Windows 8 will be released next Friday, Oct. 26, and while we've had glimpses of the new OS for more than a year, consumers likely have a number of questions about the update.

What will Windows 8 give me over Windows 7? Will I lose anything? Is it worth it if I don't have a touch-based laptop? Should I get a Windows 8 laptop or go for a tablet like the Surface? Is this the time to ditch Windows for a Mac?

These are all important questions when you're about to install a new OS or spend hundreds of dollars on a new computer. And we want to help answer your questions. PCMag's software team has spent months poring over Windows 8, while our hardware team has been keeping tabs on the devices that will sport the new operating system. We've also examined the updated Office 2013 and 365 experience, as well as cloud services like SkyDrive, and glanced at Windows Phone 8, at least the parts Microsoft has let us see.

So, we know a thing or two about Windows 8, and we want to help you with any burning questions you might have while deciding whether or not to spring for the OS. If there's something you want to know, put your question in the comments section or tweet us at @PCMag. We'll round up the top queries and start answering them early next week as we wait for Windows 8 to make its formal debut.
